Designing trusted electronics means considering a variety of properties, such as safety, reliability and robustness. Accordingly, design workflows must be adapted to ensure that these additional, non-functional properties are included in the product and can be demonstrated. One approach to increasing the trustworthiness of electronics is to incorporate open-source hardware. A number of projects and architectures are currently being advanced in this area.

Current research topics
- Requirements for trustworthiness in design
- Open-Source Hardware Design
- Design flow for safety-critical applications
